Sounds like you have already done it but check all the wiring, including in the engine bay for shorts. Also check that the globes you are using are the correct wattage and do not exceed the rating of the fuse.
hello all, attn: ae86 owners!
im having a problem with the fuse that controlls the dash and fasha lights.
when u turn on the headlights the fuse just blows stright away. i have pulled my whole dash appart to find loose wires and dodgey grounding but i cant find any thing out of the ordenary.
i am in need of help lol

yeah i pelled out the tacho and the how fast your going cluster, checked the globes they were all good, followed the wire form ground to fuse and from switch to fuse, no problems, put in a bigger amp fuse and it the lights worked for like 5 seconds then blew. its got me stumped usually i can fix shit pretty easy without troubles but this has got me. is there anychance the actual switch could be fucked? and that is what is shorting out the fuse?
i think what the bloke above is suggesting is to check engine bay wiring aswel (all wiring to headlights and the bulbs as mentioned)
never just put a bigger fuse in. ever.
and yeh could easily be the switch, pull it out and open it up?
its actually the dash lights that dont lite up, not the headlites, i will go through and check wires again. cheers mate
same here and the indercators dont work either and the parkers let me know how it gos
just put the next bigger fuse in. no worries

ALL DRIFT MODIFICATIONSYou're a fucking idiot, and I am ashamed that you are part of this community. Sure there isn't many tracks, but praticing on the street isn't the alternative.
Grow the fuck up you little JDM whore
for all your drift modification needs
tryed that dosent work lol, i think i might have to het a sparkey to look at it, but i realy hate other ppl looking/working on my car.
the brown ae71 car i have for sale is doing this, on the interior/parker 15a circuit. if you find a fix let me know. I disconnected the rear lights (parkers brake indicators) and it still blew but its something you could try on your car. it is one of the plugs near the fusebox in the passenger side kick panel.
yeah mate that is the fuse you have got exactly same prob as me, i have got the shits and im not playing with it anymore im gunna get someone to look at it next week!
