his got a sr20det sprinter and its a f**kin beast
i have seen many hatchis with CA18's in them but none with SR20's in them, is there a reason for this...weight? size? SR20's are a much better engine than CA18's so why hasnt asnyone done the conversion?

just because it comes with stronger internals factory and a better turbo doesnt make it a better engine
30kw club
sr20s are crap.
(lets start this argument again!!) like in every other post that anyone brings up sr or ca, there is always a fight on wich one is better. who cares wich one is better!!!!!
my opinion is that sr20 is more expansive conversion. i have a ca. if i wanted to spend as much on converting to sr i would not have put a nissan engine in to start with.
ca18det is a very cheap reliable conversion.
well i wasnt looking to start any arguments and im not even considering doing the conversion, i just asked the wuestion out of curiosity, i just thought SR20s were a little more reliable and could make better power than CA18's
was told by many people ca's = boat anchors
just goes to show you shouldnt believe everything you're told. SR20s are crap truck engines that sound like bcc buses, and their valvetrains suck.
fastest RWD Race 1/4 mile is a datsun 1200 coupe sr20det last time i checked
Here we go again!!
find something constructive to do.
i have had a 200sx sr20det, and my ae86 is ca18det.
both have good points both have bad points, an argument can go on for years on wich one is better!
i prefer the ca coz it is a bit cheaper. and parts are redily available.
and i personally think there are more sr20 hachis then ca18
definately more srs than ca now i was out at the track the other day and there were 3 other sr sprinters than mine, the only reason i would choose a sr over a ca is the torque, it more noticable in a light car like a sprinter. ca is definately the cheeper option
