Default 20v Silvertop airflow meter question

Alright so iv been wondering (because I can't seem to find any information on it) about the stock 20v airflow meter.

Basically I have a AE86 with a Silvertop in it, previous owner somewhere down the track had put it in and had cut a hole in the firewall for the dizzy. Long story short ill be running the stock computer still with a dizzy relocation kit and I was wondering if there is anyway you can still run it without the airflow meter? Either trumpets or just a box to a filter. I know the blacktops you can run trumpets on the stock computer but I don't think they come with an airflow meter?

    Any info is appreciated, cheers

The blacktop loom / ecu will run the silvertop well and is map sensored hence being able to run open trumpets... Other than that an after market ecu can be ran.

Trying to stay away from aftermarket ECUs, driven 2 silvertops '86s one with aftermarket and one with stock and the stock one apart from the rev limit was heaps better.

Blacktop ECU/loom is a direct plugin or does it need to be modified?

Interesting you think that about the aftermarket ecus... The dozen or so i've driven are heaps better with the aftermarket ecu. All in the tune I guess.

The blacktop connectors are the same as far as the engine goes, different at the ecu and you'll have to "re-wire to suit" the ae86.
