Is a 1JZ even possible to go into a KE70? Just thought it would be awsome. See if anyone thinks its possible.

already done in a ae71 wagon didnt hit the firewall back and chopped the rad out so that it would sit inline with it.
and hachi dk its not all about who has money you could be a good fabricator and cost u shit all.

pretty sure lees rb20 ke cost less than 2000 including the motor

cutting the rad support to fit a longer engine in is certainly the wrong way to go about things. it will completely destroy your weight distribution.
JZ series engines are rather heavy too so you would certainly want it mounted a fair way back.
CUTTING THE FIREWALL IS A MUST.
if you wanted capacity i would suggest a 1UZ, all alloy and only four cylinders long.

If your the type of person who wants a straight 6 in a light little body, I don't think that weight distribution would be on your list of things to care about. Obviously it would be made to go fast in a straight line. and not much else.
But, yes a 1UZ would be the best choice if corners were more your thing.

he had still got a rad support but it goes under the rad now and is supposivly just as strong if not more.

Nope, what I mean to say is that if you are going to the effort of doing said conversion, and were cutting the radiator support as opposed the moving the engine towards the firewall(and/or through it) then you wouldn't really have weight distribution really high on the priority list :) Not saying that you are a Bogan for doing this type of thing. But the majority of these sorts of conversions (no firewall mods) are build for going fast more-so than cornering.
But yeah, On Topic:
There are a few *E7*'s that have had similar, or the same conversion done to them. A 1GGTE Blue KE70 Panno and a 1JZ AE71, both on Youtube, are a coule that ring bells. Both verrrry fast down the strip.
Can be done for sure, but as someone else said, if you don't have the fabrication skills yourself, then it will be a very costly exercise. :)

theres a few youtube vids of that panno at the hillclimbs and circuit too and even though its not the most suited setup for it im sure he has an awesome time!! man if i had the dough id give it a crack for sure! At the end of the day you need to decide what its mostly going to be doing. If its your only car, does it need to be 100% perfect by the book to 'drift' or 'circuit' standards?? I mean really if its only going to spend 5% of its life at the track why put 100% of the development into that type setup?? why not have it fun for on the streets and comfortable to drive around!!

have a read about a ke70 with a volvo 5 cylinder turbo, apparently a very quick rig, and being only 5 not 6 cylinders, fit a little easier.
might be on rollaclub or toymods, can't remember

i'm toying with the idea of an LS2 in my r33 when my RB25 fucks out... (and @ 320rwkw on a stock bottom end it will eventually...)
a few mods and 350rwkw N/A @ 1350 kgs
keep it well maintained and it'll be fine at that power level for eons

they have push rods. push rods fail. if you want a v8 at least use one with overhead cams.
