making your own rosejoint suspension parts?

have any of you guys done this or thought about it, I’ve been talking to some welders at work about making some lca's for my ke and also caster arms, I’ve also been talking to a guy in the UK about rose joints etc and he can supply what I believe to be a very good and very strong rose joints i was just wondering if anyone has gone down this path before. if so what were the results
