There is no bigport 4age knock sensor. they only started it on the smallport and from then on.

so if i had a smallport loom and this was not pluged into the bigport motor i would have problems?

can you tell me what colour the wire is going to the smallport knock sensor?
i have 2 in my loom on that side that have no plugs :(
I believe this may be one of my probs

[QUOTE=wide s13;14141]so if i had a smallport loom and this was not pluged into the bigport motor i would have problems?

EDIT: Saw user has GZE motor.

What do you intend to do ? Continue running the GZE N/a or Supercharger/Turbo Charge it. I guess it would be a waste to convert to bigport loom etc.

Knock sensor wire is Black. It should have a Grey insulation around it, don't get it confused with the O2 sensor wire though. You should look for pinouts.

my original motor was gze with hi-comp ae111 pistons.
blew it up.
then got std bigport 4age had problems that im having with my 7age
so looking for things i may have missed.
i have not got the 7age knock sensor pluged in so im guessing it could be all related.

I can only talk about ze senors im not sure about na

But i had a big port (gze) motor running a small port ecu without a knock sensor and at 5000 rpm it stops making power and the torque on the dyno sheet falls faster than a fat lady falls off a ladder. this is because the ecu pulls all the timing back to make sure it does not knock at high revs. Also the plug on the small port loom is differnet to a big port loom and so are the senors. hope this helps in some way

Check TPS. See the 4age manual for a guide on how to test it. Check the wiring to the TPS. Disconnect it and see if there is any difference.

Throttle Position Sensor - Adjustment

1. Loosen two screws of throttle position sensor.

2. Insert thickness gauge (0.47 mm or 0.0185 in.) between throttle stop screw and lever, and connect ohmmeter terminals IDL and E2 (top 2 terminals of tps).

Gradually turn sensor clockwise until ohmmeter deflets, and secure sensor with two screws.

3. Using thickness gauge, recheck continuity between terminals IDL and E2.

0.35 mm (0.0138 in.) - Continuity

0.59 mm (0.0232 in.) - No continuity.
