If you had a choice between the two, which would you take?
Tell us why, show some photos of good examples (preferably AE86s) etc..

depends what mood im in. OE colours make a lot more sense though. re sale, anonymity, etc.
my new car is white, and its staying that way.
if i had 2 or more cars, and my 86 was just my fun car, then a custom colour would be more appealing. ive had 2 86s in custom colours. one was semi subtle, but the one before was really loud. and i just cbf being a bad ass all the time now. (and driving a time bomb).

i've just repsrayed my car in OEM red - nice colour and as slydar said makes more sense in terms of resale. Also depends on the look of the car that you are going with.

Usually I'd always say oem colour but if I ever respray my new car it will be something different. Still plain tho, I like plain colours haha

OEM colour work best but if you must go for an aftermarket colour then go for something period correct
EG
-British Racing Green
-French Racing Blue
-997 911 Turbo Mocha
Basically older colours
Also. nomatter how "sold out" panda is.....you cant deny that it works with the body lines

Anything that you can get without having to mix/tone it afterwards. Makes it easier to match when you overdrift into an ill-positioned cliff face.

Yea man, as long as the paint has been looked after, like the examples above.

if youre using a kit + 15's go custom paint.
if your using standard bars + 14's go oem paint.

what if you have a kit and 14s?
or oem bars and 15s?
i dont care if its o.g just go with plain flat colours, no mettalics/candys/pearlescants/metal flakes etc.

i'm sick of white or red sprinters, i just want to see something different.
you could pull off a metallic in any colour if it was the right shade, definitely no pearls/ candy/or any of that crap. to "blingy".

look at it this way: oem white and oem red works so why fuck with it?
i wanna spray my car candy red (mazda velocity red to be exact) but itll just become instant copbait. thats why i bought oem 038 white.
its true though, do what you want. hopefully people will be smart and tasteful about it
