So I have searched and I can't really find what I am looking for so I thought that I would ask a simple question.

What size sway bars should I be running with 6kg front and 4.5kg rear springs on a weekend car. Looking for grip not drift? I do realise that it is quite subjective but I was thinking something around 24mmm front and 18mm rear might be ok but I don't know if that would be enough rear bar.

Cheers

Use the standard bars. Which is 21mm front. Stock rear bar is 13mm or 14mm, or 15mm (rare).

Form your own opinion with some hard driving.

Then try the whiteline bars like you say, if you want.

As a beginner at the track, it's best to start with stock suspension. Race suspension will work too quickly for you and you will be thrown off the track with a sore thumb and busted indicator stalk. But, it only takes 2 track days to learn.

Thanks for the concern but I have been track racing for years. My last race car was a turbo MX-5 Clubman with 190rwkw. More chasing a good start point for the first track day using peoples exprience rather than trying to re-invent the wheel.

i use cusco sway bars front and rear. on mountain runs and the like they are awesome. not adjustable tho which may be a problem but i dont know the difference as i'v never run anything other than these and standard.

i run 26mm front non adjustable and 17mm adjustable

Agressive/smooth and consitent style of driving needs to be applied to get a postive outcome from it.

Thanks for the feedback guys, sounds like a 24mm on the front and something adjustable on the back, 17-18mm so that I can tweak it to my tastes will be the way to go.
