Hey all, not sure if there will be much call for selling this here as I'm In Darwin, NT but thought I'd post it up and try my luck anyway. It's copy pasted from another forum where they aren't as savvy with toyota part numbers/ the conversion so that's why it's a bit spelled out with what parts are what.
Shipping from Darwin to Adelaide is generally fairly cheap (~$500) Alternatively, I might be able to drive it down.
Item: KE70 Corolla with 4AGE conversion.
Item Condition: Fairly good. The shell has minimal rust, some surface starting to show, no major rust issues at all. It could definitely do with some paint though. Running gear is in very good coniditon.
Rego(if applicable): Currently due to expire end of this month, however probably will put an extra 6 months on it. Negotiable with buyer. Passed over the MVR pits last year and engine conversion was noted - listed as a 1600 on rego papers with correct engine number.
Location: Darwin, NT
Reason for Selling: Moving house and can't store it at the new one and also need the money for uni.
Car will probably be available for sale towards the end of this month as I still require it to get around. However if someone is keen and has the cash it's fair game for whenever.
Price: $4000 neg
Payment Conditions: Greenbacks
Extra Info:
Car is a '82 model with a genuine 135,000k's on the chassis. Was originally automatic but converted to manual using genuine AE71 corolla parts - no cutting and hacking of things required and due to that passed over the MVR without the inspectors batting an eye-lid.
Motor is a bigport 4AGE from an AW11 MR2 that had valves lapped and a new head gasket added when put into the car just over a year ago. Compression was 175+ across all 4. Motor is still healthy, uses no oil, never overheats, doesn't misfire, revs cleanly. Unknown kilometres though. Runs a T50 gearbox with a year old exedy (I think?) heavy duty clutch.
Motor was converted to RWD application using genuine JDM (sick!) parts. No cut and shut manifold, or dodgy alternator brackets here. Genuine RWD water housings etc too.
Runs an intank lift pump to an undercar surge tank which means that a) you can use the boot and b) you don't get high as a mofo when driving from petrol fumes. Amazing, no?
Car has 4-2-1 extractors and a 2" straight through exhaust.
The standard diff has been replaced with a T-series diff - stronger than standard and has off the shelf LSD centres available. Currently a 3.9:1 open wheeler.
Suspension: car has whiteline springs all round, KYB shocks in the rear and Monroe shocks in the front. All approx a year old. Suspension is nice for the street, if you were going to hit the track you would want it a bit stiffer.
Brakes: Front has slotted rotors, calipers were rekitted a year ago. Rear has T18 Drums - bigger than standard. New brake shoes and slave cyls done 6 months ago. Stops very well for the hardware.
Front end was redone last year too, new wheel bearings, ball joints, tie-rod ends etc. Currently rack-ends are on the way out, I have new ones here just haven't had the time to fit them. Should do before sale.
Interior is fairly minimal was stripped of everything before I got the shell. Has no carpet, floor mats etc. Has a tacho dash and oil pressure and water temp gauges.
Contact Details: PM
Pictures: Some dodgy ones up for now, better ones in the next few days.

Very fun and reliable car. Don't really want to sell it but I only get to drive it about 3 months a year if that. Money would be better spent elsewhere.
If you have any other questions please post here that way I can answer for everyone.
Cheers
