hey guys sorry if this has been posted up before but ive notice that my gearbox makes these funny rattle sounds when the clutch is engaged. (It gets quite noisy when im gunning it uphill). However as soon as i disengage the clutch the sounds disappears. Im thinking it could be a thrust bearing?

Thought I'd get some advise from someone more experience. Any help would be great e.g. cost? purchase location etc thanks

Hang on just clear up exactly what you mean, because many people seem to think that when your foot is depressing the clutch that you are engaging it.

When your foot has the clutch pedal depressed, the clutch is then disengaged.
When your foot is off the pedal the clutch is engaged.

If its making the noise when you disengage the clutch its probably the release bearing. If its making the noise when the clutch is engaged its probably the clutch disc or plate.
