to the best of my knowledge, no, your gearbox needs to be digital in some way

Quoted from another thread

AE101/AE111 and a bunch more. (83181-20040)

Same pinouts as yours though, they didnt change them over the life of their digital speedo senders sofar.

Much easier than using the one which JZK posted is to use one like is on the end of my pic there.
The 90deg adaptor is a Cressida one and all of that monstrosity is hanging off my T50.

Yeah, Aristo, Soarer, Supra, Cressida, and stacks more have the same sensor.

Wiring:
1 = Power
2 = GND
3 = Signal

or you could go down to your local stereo store and buy the gps speedo's

just a positive and negative wire and sits on your dash. put the strip supplied with the kit on the window and voila you know have a hud speedo

Noticed Tom Tom showing 2km/@@ less than what '05 camry displays. Drove on hume hwy during xmas @ 112 (tomtom) and haven't received any fines yet.

Some of those speedo gauge kits can come with sensor that mount onto stock thread. I think its like M22 or something from memory. You can also remove the stock speedo cluster on the 86 and mount that seperately, or find another smaller oem one and use mix-match of speedos with speedo adjustor.

Here's one I'm working on. I it bench tested and will be trying it in the car within next week:

S2000 (AP1), the speedo requires large frequencies to operate properly so I built my own circuit to get it working.

Another circuit use the standard temperature gauge (7 bar display) to indicate user selected water temperature ranges based on the standard toyota thermistor.

I like the big rpm display.
