i have a 4AGE 16v bigport from a AE82 and i'm putting it into my AE86, just wanted to know if you can put a RWD waterpump onto the FWD engine and willl it work right?

also can i still use the FWD flywheel or will i need to change it to fit the RWD gearbox/clutch?

You can put a RWD waterpump on, but to make it work properly you need to change a whole bunch of parts also, which I think is worth it in the long run.

whole waterpump (both halves)
RWD 4A-C or 4A-GE thermostate housing
waterpump pulley
alternator brackets
4A-C or 4A-GE RWD heater tube

The FWD flywheel and clutch is the same and can be used. You just need to put a little bearing in the crank.

while on this topic.. plan to do the same with my 20v conversion... do I need to change the crank pulley also? I cant quite remember... (when using a rwd water pump pulley)

No, the crank pulley can stay.

All you need to run a RWD pump is the RWD pulley.

You don't NEED as such any of the other gear listed, but its a smart way to go for an engine you are converting to RWD.
