ae86 dash into ke70?

i might be able to get myself a ae86 TOM's dash cluster (secret loaction) that has a 10k limiter.

Is it possible for it to be wired to a ke70 with a jap bigport engine?

Has it been done> any photos?

any help is appreciated.

you can put anything into anything.

so yes you can.

may need ae86 speedo drive. but if you have wiring diagrams for both dashes it should be fine. also the sensors from a ke70 (oil press and water temp).

obviously the actual dash cluster is a different shape and size.

worth the effort? maybe not lol.

i may be able to get it. are they rare? in that case i wont butcher art. i will leave that for fallout boy to do.

the other question is why put a toms dash with a 10k tacho into a ke70 at all, let alone one with a stock bigport that wont reach 7,000rpm let alone 10,000

now yes the white with blue lettering IS homo, but he will do any colors or anything else you want. so go the standard black and have the redline moved to 7.5 with the yellow zone from 7-7.5 like the factory jap ae86s and the speedo extended to 200kays.

fairly cheap to.

they come as replacement perspex not a sticker btw.

ahhhh so thats where that came from....

for years ive had this huuuggee .jpeg of the ke70 dash clusters like in that ebay listing.

no idea where i got it, maybe rollaclub a few years back.

had it for ages...i should do something with it sometime...

as for ae86 cluster into ke70? sure it will fit, prolly wont look that good.

and wiring will be easy, only hard thing will be the speedo cable (as mentioned), but you may find it works anyway, give it a go!

i'm not going to go on about trying to be different (i will end up sounding like a kid whith a blue adm 86 with a jap interior, fender mirrors and sportmaxxs), but why not. it doesnt seem to have been done. maybe forget the TOMS cluster.

Nope. Sold my car went for a trip around Europe for 6 months and landed back in Australia, moved to Melbourne, became broke and started looking for jobs.

But I will do a dash eventually.
