Heres a poster ive had in my shed for a while, i never really took much notice of the cars but there are quite a few old Toyotas on it.

that ke10 (?) looks completely stock except for the number down the side and racing stripes..

loves the old bathurst car, reguardless of what they are.

yeah i'm a massive fan of old touring cars back when it was real racing between manufacturers.

loves the old bathurst car, reguardless of what they are.

They pretty much had to be running in showroom standard condition or they were excluded. Pity they don't still do that or modern racing might be much more interesting.

its all about the wheels on 1988 drew price car, its like they unloaded the truck and realized they had no tyres, and borrowed some off there mums car!

1969 Brian Sampson thats my grandpa raced in 18 bathursts. Won in 1975 with Peter Brock. Drove 3 years before it went to bathurst at phillip island. Has been racing for 52 years and still racing today at 72 in formula ford VIC state series.

Nah, they are OZ Racing rims.

From memory they used to campaign a rally car at the same time.... probably shared rims.

Great old poster with some rare shots of the old Toyotas.

I might like to point out that most of these Bathurst winning Toyotas are still around, the only exception are the 2 KE10's, however I do have a relica of the 1968 Morris/Hindaugh car here at work. The 1981 Celica is in my workshop as are the 1988 and 1989 Corollas planned for restoration. The 1979 and 80 Chickadee car are the same car and lives in Sydney, the 1985/86 car is in the Bathurst museum and the others are still around too being restored by their owners.

the chickadee car still gets raced on a semi regular basis too.

The '87 Class winner is owned by TerryO and he has nearly finished a complete restoration.
