I want to turn the 3t in my T-18 into a 3tg as its not a 4age like every other corolla with mods on here

just wondering what do i have to do as i am clueless.

how much has it cost people to do?

for a start you will need a 2tg to do the conversion
to stroke it to the 3t crank and rods and the 3t pistons
1st get some new oversize pistons from acl for 3t ,then you will have to fly cut the valve reliefs same as 2tg .
bore out to piston size and put crank rods and pistons into the 2tg block also while its apart ,get the head all cleaned up with new valve stems seals and get the valves reset into the head and also clean up the head face as well

go onto toymods and do alot of reading. there are heaps of articles on threads on this conversion.

acl do 86mm pistons (1mm oversize) for about 250 for a set, gasket set is 150 then you got rings, bearings 350ish, machining depends on how crazy you go. could be anywhere from 400 to 1000 then prolly carby rebuild tuning etc etc so you'd spend a few grand pretty easy.

i'd suggest trying to find a motor someones already built. will save you alot of money

dont forget to spin the unused cam bearings to block up the oil feed to the old cam only need the front 2 with a geu ballance shaft or 3 with a g
