Chucked $20 into a pokie, and walked out with $225 in less than 45 seconds play time on the machine.

Going out to buy a new BMX tomorrow. Stoked. Any suggestions as to what I should be thinking of in the $300-$500 bracket?

best thing is to shop around there are a heap of bikes and it depends on what you want to do or get into down the track.

helensvalle bmx is awesome bmx only there is fortheriders and some others on the south side most other shops like 99 bikes are a rip off.

there is one called ridway cycles (near my house) always good prices

Doesnt matter if you cant name them as long as you can do the tricks, I have only started riding street/ park in the last year and can already do some half decent stuff.

With this park opening in brisbane soon ill be spending most of my time there. expect tail whips and back flips ;)

if you ride the mongoose and then the custom bike, there is a big difference, custom built bikes have alot better feel to em and much lighter which is easyer to throw around

i broke my front sprocket the other day :( still rideable , just snapped where the sprocket bolt connects , so i spun the sprocket 180 and put the bolt in another hole.

may buy a new one next week.

Hey man, probably only about $100 for the frame and like $30 for the bars. Havn't got any pictures of it, but it is a khaki green frame with black bars. Will grab a pic next time I go to my olds. :thumbup:

What sort of tyres is everyone running?
for my front im still running my standard eastern tyre and on the back i have a foldable Maxxis Grifter.
fair worn but i have some Odyssey klyte foldable tyres in the garage ill use next.

I've been running 2.05 Odyssey Path's on the front for a loooong time.

Run 1.95 Hoffman rotator on the rear for a little while now. These are very very good, owner of my usual joint runs these on his race bike and rates them higher than anything else.

I'm looking at selling my current thrasher and old bike and getting something new/nicer :)
