Hi Guys,

Now i know this is a question asked alot but i have tryed looking everywhere and cant find what i need.

im buying new pistons, rings, bearings ect to rebuild my BP 4age - tvis model

now i have found a whole lot of stuff on ebay but it tells me there in things like

1988-1989 1.6L GEO NOVA 4AGE DOHC 16V

1988-1989 1.6L GEO PRIZM GSI 4AGE DOHC 16V

1988-1989 1.6L TOYOTA COROLLA GTS 4AGELC DOHC 16V

now i cant figure out whether these are going to be the right parts as it never says its a BP or it is for a tvis model or what not.

but what i really need to know is are BP and SP bottem ends the same and its just the heads that differ?
in that i mean bore size and what not.

i just really dont want to buy the wrong parts.

If anyone could help me out on this that would be great.

Cheers Heaps

or maybe another way to figure it out is what years did big ports start and finish getting made?

the reason that you are getting those results is probably cause its american ebay. And as we all know, americans are fucking retarded fuckwits.

you can find all the parts you need locally in aus, get them from ACL, which you can probably order from the website. There you will be able to find the correct engine and vehicles that are actually relevant to our market.

the piston gudgeon sizing is different also, so you dont want to order the wrong pistons, cause then your rods will be useless. 18mm-20mm are the two differences

here, im even spoon feeding you: http://www.aclperformance.com.au/Toyota4A-GZE.htm

I asked for location because they were all american models you posted.

If you're still uncertain take the internals into a shop and get them to throw a micrometer on them. That way you'll get the right size everytime.

AE82's came with a variety of 4a engines - carby, f-type and g-type heads.

A 1988 4AGE can ONLY be a bigport. So yes, those parts from the 'americans fucking retarded fuckwits' will suit your engine perfectly.

ok so just to make 100% sure.

my engine has 3 ribs (shit) which as i was reading means its a 83-87 model.
runs a map sensor and has the 18mm gudgeon pin not the 20mm's

so in saying this any 4age parts i can find from 83 - 87 will fit?
