In the beginning:
Bought her for $100 on ebay, just out of rego. Ran fine even then with a bent valve. But i got my tax back that year and bought a 4agze halfcut for $1500 so work immediately started.

White was chalky and im not a fan unless your robo or konakid hahaha

Seeing as im on holidays now, i might do some more work to it. Thinking of pulling the motor out and painting the engine bay. Or maybe ill just sip my beer and stare at it...

For got a few lil details in the specs but meh, over it. ill just skid the slut till she breaks.

Will try some vids this week, gotta find some velcro to stick the cam on.

Yes thank you B110 ill see is it can get done.

So i bought a carton of Hanh premium and a 10 pack of jims finest. Made a thingy that stops the motor rocking. Cant think of the name right now but ill get back to you. And i put in one of them secondary radiator cap pipe thingys cos of the vee mount putting the original cap lower than the water outlet. seems to be fix, not really happy with it tho.

I did some more work on the 86 too!

got the plan in my head for a camera mount. Its gonna hang off the rear veiw. That way is can swap it in my cars.

Planing on making some things that replace the things on the c pillar. Cant even remeber where my memory has gone? arrrgh

i got a pretty cool little helmet cam the other day, and it has some nice ways of mounting, but standard cameras arent too bad to mount, just make up a z bracket of something, i find if you have car in the shot it makes it alot better as you have something to put the road in perspective with.

7th January 2009, 08:11 PM
No worries bro

how long till yours is done?

Few more tips, i got my exhaust flange from raceflo, lines are from gkteck i think umm alot of fittings i had already, you dont need much tho. Im pretty sure that if you run a bb s15 turbo or simular you need smaller id lines or a regulator of something. Ball bearing turbs done need much oil pressure.

Fuel system is just what i had lying around. It worked fine with just 2 shitty vl pumps but im happy with my setup now, it is noisy tho.

Taxed a tubro bleeder, going for 10 pound or so when im not too pissed.

Got a few other bits too, steering wheel and some tyres. 2009 is looking good.

will do, not down there much but old mate is back so you never know.

Just went for a "test" drive. Alt held up so thats beaut. Still gotta play with the turb bleeder and bov as its only hitting 8-9psi then venting.

oh well, will do it another day.

Got a safe setup at 9psi now, spark plugs are happy so im happy. I drive to work everynow and again, havent had a problem with it.

Pretty scary to drive, i think its so well setup now that once it slips you can just keep on going. does some nice 3rd gear manji's.

Once the money comes in and the 86 is done ill do a proper 1 peice tailshaft and rebuild the turb. Not much else needs doing. For those interested, MTQ in brisbane sell garret turbo rebuild kits for round $180. They can get other kits too.

yair videos, ill see what i can do druing the week. still need to make a mount :S

Beal - i noticed that, the sv21 alt that i had had a 5mm smaller diamerter. Pretty sure it just overheated and melted the stator. But the good thing is, being a bosch, you can mix all the parts and whatnot. Ive got a 4Y one on mine at the moment, i think the pulley is slightly bigger? Anyway its works beaut!

Tailshaft sorted, theres a special unijoint that you can order that fits toyota non removable unis. 400402 or something.

Brakes are too small for this sort of power, theres a bit of heat coming off them after a mild drive. 10psi is fair wikid tho.

Umm yair needs more lock.

Not sure man, im going to have to find some hell low profile calipers to sort the brakes out as im quite content with my jellie or spitfires or whatever they call them. Tyres on there now are 175/70. Mite go back to 185/60 oneday. But ive found the 175/70 allround is a nice sweet spot for me.

ive thought about it often, theres not really much you can do in the way of bracing it.

I asked old mate about it and he seemed to think its rare for them to do it. I dunno really, might just stare at it.

Polished the rims cos i was bored today.

Slanty Pimp.

That is all.:hehe:

edit: not all.

With the camera mount, Ive got this tiny plastic tripod that is self adhesive with double sided tape on the base. It came with a headrest lcd screen. It could be stuck on any fairly flat surface. It's yours if you want it. Nothings cooler than multiple angles. Give Beally some epic editing chores to do.

just skipped from page 1 to last page when i seen that t peice

i hope you ended up bracing it lol

nearly cost me a 4agte!!

id have to 2nd that. i snapped mine at the track on the weekend. Lucky the marshall was watching me as i wasnt paying enough attention to the gauges... Nearly lost a engine too..

All i did was make the braided hose come out of the engine first then meet up with the T-piece at the chassis rail bolt it down there (still with ability to move) and then run the rest of the line up to the turbo

step one - cease in homosexual activities
step two - come to tas for a drive (note this will also aid in ridding yourself of homosexual activities)
step three - i'll buy you a beer
