I need to know what altinator mounts everyone is using on there GZE conversions.?
To mount the Alt on the passengers side.
My engine came with some MONSTROUS thing that held the AC and Power Steer as well, and I don't think I'll be able to use it..
I see everyone else has just a normal looking mount on theres.. whats it off.??
And who wants to sell me one. :)

from what I understand the ZE alternators bolt directly to a bracket via 4 bolts. It's specific to the ZE and your in trouble if you need to replace it

My brascket is seriously huge... goes the hole way up the side of the engine from sump to just below the CAS... The ones I see everyone else using are tiny..

mate i can send you the setup off my gze if you like, consists of a 4afe bracket and a custom made arm that attaches to a 4ac tensioner slidey thingy, includes a gze alternator that has been relieved of sufficient metal to fit inside the 4afe bracket haha. you can have it all for $50 plus post if you like?? that sound fair?? pm me if you like, have a few other tid bits from my gze setup lying around that might be handy for you!

my bracket is from a aw11 gze , my motor is an ae101 which had a massive one on it.
i got mine from nikkojoe for $50 , so i spose you will pay something around that for one.
also with the aw11 brakect you need to use an NA 4age alternator.

hope that helps.

Why do you have to use the NA altinator.?? Different width at the bottom... Think I saw that some where..
Ok.. so now I know what I'm after... Who's got one.. :)

you can cut the standard 'monster AC/alt' bracket i half and use the bottom mounts for the bottom longbolt of the alternator too, and custom fab a little tensioner thing. but the best/easiest way is to find the aw11 setup as stated. just throwing another option out there if you cant get that.

Yeah.. I thought of that too Todd... But If a neat factory option exists I'd rather use that..
