Car - ke25

motor - 4age

use - something to look at

problem - sandwich plate bolt hits the engine mount

occurs/started when - i put the engine in

hey peeps..

just wanting to know if its safe to use the sandwich plate on the angle you can see in the pics (standard is straight down obviously)..
im asking because i can see a hole in the bottom on the inside of the plate and im not too sure if it will cause any flow problems being higher up now..

cheers

I can't see it being a problem.

With a turbo, the oil drain path from turbo to sump is critical. But in this situation it does not matter.

yep, can confirm that it won't matter. i have the same plate and i actually cut off the mounting bracket so i could mount the plate with the thermostat facing towards the front of the engine, haven't had any problems yet.
