waste of time dude, cause bigport bottom ends are weaker anyway

yes you can do it... you get a head with decently sized ports, and also a non shit inlet manifold... win.
although its best to use a whole smallport as to get the bottom end with oil squirters.

only thing you would have to look out for is the external oil drain on the smallport head. There is nothing wrong with smallport heads, contrary to their name the ports are actually quite big. Bigports are just huge.

toyota changed from bigport to a smallport head, they wouldnt change to an inferior design, so i reccomend smalport head

the best combo depending on application - would be:
7 rib small port bottom end
small port head
JDM bigport RWD manifold with bigport to small port adapter plate.
Or Quads with adapter on small port or bigport head
I think you would be hard strapped telling the difference when changing heads.

I agree with the above but only really worth it if you have the bits laying around or can get them cheap. Bigport ecu will be fine too
trikzlane: weaker yes but if he is asking such a question then he isn't someone who is going to be heavily modifying the engine till it's weaknesses show up.

if you cut open a bigport manifold, u can see how shit the runners are. please use a smallport manifold converted to RWD.

Whats so crap about the runners?

smalport has a better lenght, better inside diameter and better angle for flow.
compare a bigport manifold to a b18CR manifold for laughs :hehe:

I get what your saying but what is "better"? and the only thing you would find after taking to it with a grinder is a different ID?
