Yet another thread from me...

The deal is:

The Cressida came factory with a 6 cylinder, but the sr is 4 cylinder.

So if i were to attach the tach wire it would read incorrectly, yes?

is there a way of changing the signal current from the Sr ecu to the standard tacho to make it read correctly? thinking a resistor of sorts or similar. not good with this type of stuff..

Any help appreciated, and if u can explain it so i can understand it better would be appreciated even moar.

Cheers guys

Aftermarket tach with a 4/6/8 switch.

OR take the tacho out of the cluster and change a resistor or two, maybe even just turn the pot. if it has one. I take it the MX73 has a tach driven by coil -ve, not 5v squarewave from ecu right? Maybe I'll go dig up information I have somewhere on the hard drive but not doin' it now.
