from what i have been told, adm calipers work fine on jdm (vented) rotors. so what i want to know is there a difference between adm and jdm calipers i.e better braking, more pistons?

p.s. DONT tell me to use google or search it as i have already and theres nothing that compares differences

jdm calipers are wider.

so adm will work on jdm rotors if you shave the pads a fair bit.

i believe old mate justin in tassie had pads made shallow just for this reason, but dont know if he is still around.

yeah who knows where he went. One is vetned and the other isn't, appartently shaving 25% off the pads of an Aussie caliper will make it fit the vented disks

Better go with some quality JDM parts and not shave down ur braking capacity.
Thats what I recon.

it doesn't shave down your braking capacity, only your pad life expectancy

Is the piston in the jdm brakes any bigger?

Is the piston in the jdm brakes any bigger?

nope.

The calipers are almost identical appart from the jdm ones being wider, hence why the pads are the same.

QFM australia make a pad to suit this purpose exactly.
