AZ6 6 Speed gearboxes for 4AGE RWD

Has anyone mated one of this AZ6 gearboxes to a 4AGE RWD?
AZ6 Aisin 6 speed gearboxes found on MX-5, RX8, S15 and Altezza.
I know CBY makes a kit but a bit expensive, I saw one as well on Yahoo JP but looks a bit crude..

Yeah, there's a guy from club4ag (that's also posted once or twice on toymods) that is/has made a bellhousing for the AZ6 .. out of one big chunk of billet alloy .. and yes, he's charging an absolute shitload to make more.

I don't reckon there's anything wrong with the cut-and-shut bellhousing ones on yahoo .. it's been done thousands of times (with race cars and road cars). They just look like ass.

the CBY kit isnt exactly all that clean either and only to suit the altezza box...ideally you want the mx5 box for the decent ratios...

pretty keen on the conversion myself...ill do it one way or the other...but its not a cheap conversion thats for sure...gearbox alone in the mx5 case being around the $800 mark

mate have you looked at getting a gearset instead?
the cost of the gearbox plus bell housing is kinda of about the same. less hassle as you keep the same gearbox and can get your choice of ratios.
