any hydraluic shop mate. or brake shop.

im in the same boat atm.

but i belive that any ae86/ke70/ae71..rubber brake lines will work.

and prolly many othe RWD toyotas of the same era.

surely sprint auto parts would be able to get some?
they are fairly generic

AE86 and AE71/KE70 are different.

AE86 and AE71/KE70 are different.

really? how so?

i thought they were interchangeable.

as many guys bolt ae86 gear into ke70s, but i dont hear about them changing brake lines?

i used my standard ke70 lines on my jdm calipers with no problems, but as ke70dave said any brake shop will make them up or ajps have braided ones which would be a better option if your a changeing them.

KE70: caliper behind struts

AE86: caliper in front of struts

Don't quote me on that, been a few years since I did the front brakes.
The rubber hose is longer on AE86 to reach the caliper at the front of the strut. The metal line enters the wheel well from the rear of it. You can use KE70 hoses but don't expect it to clip onto the holder on the strut.

AJPS has ADR approved braided brake lines.
I got me a set on my car :)

i run ke70 lines on my jdm setup, the work fine and dont leak, tho if you look at the rubber o-ring in the jdm caliper, its a male seal and ke70 lines are opposite, but they work fine

Any brake shop in the world can do it

Im pretty sure the O-ring of a KE line wouldnt line nicely in my JDM calipers. I needed a line with a female style end and all I could find was Male ends.

I got some lines made up at ABS at geebung, 45 each and they made them then and there.

thanks guys

Well the ae71 lines didn't work for me on my ae86 brakes. The ends were different, plus the ae71 lines were shorter.

Sounds like the same problem schubey had.

Can't say how other people have made it work, maybe they got the complete ae86 lines with the rest of the gear or they knew some way to make it work.

ah thats interesting.

so the flare is opposite

you can just get an adaptor to convert the flare.

i just bought brand new ke70 lines, and was intending to use them with my 86 calipers...

ill have to look into this when i get home.

thanks for the heads up

i just checked the toyodiy website

and the part numbers are the same for the front brake lines for both 86 and 70.

http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_G_1985_TOYOTA_COROLLA_AE86R-ECMXCQ_4708.html

and

http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_G_1984_TOYOTA_COROLLA_KE70RG-EYKRCQ_4708.html

so i dunno....ill have a squiz at the parts at home, see what i can come up with.

the lines did screw into my calipers, i didnt take much note on which way the flare was though.
