SSR MKII (F) 13x7 offset -5 / (R) 13x8.5 offset -12 (185/60/13)

As suggested, must be pretty low to make it work. Find threads by the Irish dudes, 13x8" superlites/minilites are mega popular there.

From experience I can say lightweight* 13" wheels with 185/60s actually work pretty well on stock motored cars, seems to help response both by weight and gearing down a little, nice steering feedback too. But unless they're wide and low offset, and the car is DUMPED, they will look a little lost in an AE86's wheelarches (however perfect on an xE7x).

*My Riverside 13x7s were sub 5kg each.

any one know if 13x8s will fit under ae86 guards without them being flared?
thinking of getting 13x8 superlights and running 185 rear 205 front
anyone got pics?
thanks

depends on what offset you get man. I think with an 8" wide rim, you'd get away with 0 offset on bog stock guards.

would they sit much wider than the 13x7s i have atm? is the extra inch all outward? or is this a stupid question?

half inch in, half inch out

8 inches wide and negative 5 offset is the perfect width for stock guards.

if you go into the ae86 owners link on this site an look up pic of ae86's in ireland thier is ae86's in their with 13" on them, see what u think

13x8 with 0 offset front

13x8 -4offset in rear

Thats what i would go with 195/60 tyres. Fill the guards nicely and WILL make a difference against 13x7s with 0 offset.
I doubt you will need to roll the guards

This ^^^ but 185/60

Really though, I wouldn't go 13" on an AE86. I've only seen like 2 that made me go "Hey, that looks gooood."

14" is so much better.

195/60 is HUUUUUUUUUUUGE on 13's! 185 in the 60 series MAXIMUM

13x8 superlites are a + 4 offset. they fit with stock guards on an ae86 with 185 60 tires, ive had that set up before. tbh, i dont think it can look good and work really. not on a car that is driveable on the road. the thing just ends up way way way way too low. you could make a cool looking show or track car. but as a track car its hard to have it that low and have decent suspension geometry as well.
