Hi all, names Aaron. New to this site. Just bought an ae86 sprinter aus import with the 4ac. Anyway, as I bought it 4 days ago I'm starting to find minor problems.

This morning my dash and heater lights wouldt turn on. Only the interior fuse box has a description on it, the one under the hood hasn't got a sticker. However all fuses are fine. Possibly loose wiring?

Any help would be helpful as I start early mornings and late nights and can't see how fast I'm going.

These cars can be a bit tricky for new owners. To turn the dash lights on, rotate the dial to the headlights on position, then basically bitch-slap the side of the dash cluster. The car will realise you're not to be f*cked with and the lights will come on immediately.

There was a discussion on this a while ago. Theres a wire in the headlight switch which runs through a resistor block which you can control with that slider around the switch. When that wire breaks you will lose the dash lights. I think the norm is to cut the wire and bypass the resistor, so the dash lights will be on the brightest setting when the lights are on.

i had the same problem with light, fixed it by pulling out the light switch and re soldering the wires.

best way to fix the issue is to pull the switch out and solder all the points in side, when I pulled mine out 3/4 of the points on the switch had no solder at all
