Yeah I'm back. A while back I owned a smallport swapped AE71, then a s1 T18 on some Japanese 13"s and cutties, and used to post here a bit... Then a certain moderator and I had a bit of a shitfight and my account was deleted.

Does time heal all wounds? I don't know, I hope so, theres always something interesting being posted on here.

Anyway, all the while I've owned this thing, from bog stock back in '04 in fact. Its an ongoing project, but theres not much more left to do apart from tune, new clutches in the LSD and paint.

Facts and Figures follow...

1988 HR31 GTS Coupe

Mechanicals:

-Laurel silvertop RB20DET
-Redtop RB20DET cams, cam covers, plenum, all sensors swapped across
-Nistune ECU
-VG30DET turbo
-Z32 AFM
-GT-R Injectors
-R34 GT-T intercooler
-RB20 5 speed box
-Exedy HD organic clutch
-2 way LSD

Chassis
-S13 front strut conversion (hubs/knuckles) onto R31 LCAs
-R32 tierods and rack ends
-ISC N1 S13 coilovers, 10k/10k springs
-Whiteline solid subframe mounts
-New OEM diff mount
-HICAS deleted, RB30E power steer pump and reservoir
-Cazman adjustable rose jointed castor rods
-R33 GTS-T front brakes 296x30mm 4 piston. 5mm wheel spacer to clear.

Wheels
-Work Meister S1 2P, 17x9" +16 front (+11 with spacer), 17x10"+4 rear.
-Currently Federal 595 215/45 and 235/45R17.
May try 225/45s all round or 235/40R17 rear as need a bees dick more room in the back.

Body
-Stock bodywork, OEM rear spoiler, OEM motorised front lip, new genuine decals for lip and side strips.
-New front bar, GTS-R vents.
Needs paint from windscreen back basically, panelbeating around rear valance and fresh rear bar, but bodywork (apart from stopping rust getting a chance to take hold) isn't a priority.

Ongoing process.

I also have an R31 wagon, white, series 3, 5 speed....I'm currently waiting on wheels for it to arrive from Japan (17x8/9" Rays Sebring mesh), and collecting parts to start its build. Its just going to be low and mechanically stock.

Chassis rails are 85mm off the deck in that pic. Exhaust 60mm. I think I need to paint the sills white as the black ones do make the body look really high up yeah. Pics in the Nissan thread are a full 20mm lower again and it still looks like its high up.

I'll stick with white, theres ~13 coupes in Tassie and 8 of them are black over grey, one dark blue, one orange, three white, I like being in the minority.

Thanks for the positive comments. I love/hate this car, its my 'keep forever' vehicle. Others come and go but I intend to hang onto and slowly develop/restore this thing indefinitely.

Nah RB20 fo' life. Unless I can afford a good 26 one day, haha.

They are both rubbish, speaking from lots of personal experience.. 25's are sick, mine had a 181,000km timing belt sticker from japan, then was in a DA car for a year, then 2 other cars, then my laurel which spent its time on the limiter, pushed out 250kw all day everyday without so much as breaking a sweat.
