dif info please

hay guys i have an ae71 and my dif has been welded up ,and i need to get it fix up to get it mod plated . i bought a centre for it but he also welded the axles to it(so its no go) .
anyways i was getting front struts and stuff out of an jdm ae85 trueno and the was an unlocked dif so got the hole setup drum to drum and i was wondering if it will bolt straight up to my ae71


also any of u guys got a mod plate for a 4age into a ae71 without the car being road worthy or any others.
please pm if u no where i can have it done as i dont think my flares will pass

yeah s series will bolt in, will just need the tailshaft too

i got told it was a t series .also i have the tail shaft

anyone know anymore info about these and if any one has a pick of an ae71 dif that would helps healps as i could just see if =all the mounts are around the same spots

T series will bolt right up if you use the tailshaft from the ae86.

All spring seats, shock mounts, brackets will line up ok but you may need to bash them in.

you dont need to mod plate it man. your going from 1.6L carby to 1.6L injecter. i got my ae71 a blueslip with a 4age.

where at so i can go there as i spoke to a guy about this and he also said he didnt get a mod plate becasue itwas still a 4a motor

but i personaly rang main roads(also know as rta for new southers) and they said if u change any motor that didnt come in that vehicle or convert it to fuel injection u have to get it engineered/mod plated

I was told my smallport 4a needed mod plating before a roadworthy could be done in my AE71.
Mod plate is simple aslong as the heater hoses are connected and water flow is setup properly.
also they might want you to have an airbox and not a pody, atleast i had to to pass roadworhty.
