hey ,
thinking of doing a manual conversion to a cressida. (mx73)
just got a few questions.
how hard is it?
what g/box and pedal box do i use?
roughly how much would it cost?

any info would be much appreciated.
cheers andrew.

well I would assume it's like a corolla in that you use the manual pedal box out of the same model. Have a look at the pedal assembly of the mx73 manual and compare it to yours. You will likely need to drill holes in the firewall for the master and maybe mod the hole for the shifter.

well that compicatates matters, my dad I didn't even consider it. What you need to get yourself over to Toymods

If you can get your hands on a manual mz11 soarer apparently everything from that bolts into the mx73.
if not, there is another option.
w5 box with M bell housing, standard cressida gbox x member will work with the W box.
clutch and flywheel from a 5m supra.
ma61 or ra60 pedal box im pretty sure.
you can buy a clutch master off ebay for the cressida.
and apparently for the tail shaft you can use the front half from a manual sa63 celica and the rear half just the standard cressida tail.
for everything else needed i have no idea at all.

hope that helps.

as for how hard it is to do, if you can change a gbox and flywheel/clutch, it shouldnt be to hard , all the rest should be fair easy.

I know this is very old but yeah, what is done with the computer side of things? Is it left as auto computer or is it swapped or whatnot?
