problem - oil leak
occurs/started when - engine running
personal situation - We cranked my car over for the first time today and oil was leaking out of a bung on the left side of the front cover, ahead of the block. We cleaned out the bung and the hole and refitted and it cured the leak, but i don't know what the hole is for. Is it for an oil pressure switch or a pressure relief or something else???
