Hi all, quick question, as ive only ever flushed the system out of electronic injection engines, im wondering where the bleed point on the 4ac is? also if there is anythingt different to doing it on an EI engine.

thanks

There is a coolant nipple next too the oil filter i believe. The 4ac is a 4a block so id assume its on those boat anchors as well.

Coolant flush is a coolant flush dude, i dont see why it would matter.

There isn't a bleeding screw, the one near the oil filter is a drain for draining the coolant from the block. Theres no different way to do it than any other engine really.

thanks. i was just confused as when i bled my old rb30 it had a valve to bleed the excess air from on the top of the head

cut the bottom off a coke bottle wrap tape around the thread on the bottle then stick that in the top of your radiator fill the radiator turn the car on and keep filling it till there is no more bubbles
that's how we role in tha hood

now im really confused. so you dont need to use that valve on the left of the oil filter at all?

no. park on a hill with the radiator being the highest point. maybe use a coke bottle if you feel like it. The tap probably helps but I only ever remember using it once and I think it made the process quicker. Yeah, that's how useless it is.

i squeeze the radiator hoses to help get air out.

should be fine one the thermostat opens.

if its actually got coolant in it, its doing better then most 4ac's

Sorry i got confused by title and question.

Yes no air bleed point. As mentioned on a hill is all i do.

99% of the time with the correct pressure in the system air will work itself out eventually.

Just to clear this up. When you want to flush the cooling system on a car. ANY CAR. Pull a heater hose off if you can or any bypass hose. Turn the heater on to hot. Stick a garden hose in the hose you pulled off. Run hose untill nothing but cllear water comes out. You can even star the car for a minute or so. Drain the rest of the water out the bottom hose...
