t50 popping out of gear

problem - gearbox pops out of second into neutral

occurs/started when - like 2 years ago (and i havnt driven it in 2 years)

personal situation - wut ?

ok so the t50 gearbox pops out of second into neutral.
it started doing it sometimes, then it became worse and after a while you had to ALWAYS hold it in (with force) into second gear or it just bang pop out.

what could be causing this ?

could it be detent not holding it in ? damaged synchro ? other ?

would like to get this fixed if i visit Smelbourne in december, so let me know if you have some ideas guys.

possibly detent spring broken or worn shaft (which i doubt) probably synchro. check detent springs anyway

also can it be repaired or where can you buy a second gear synchro at a reasonable price ?

you buy them new from Toyota, I can't see it being one of those though but I know very little about gearboxes

when you say "one of those" what exactly are you refering to sam ? im assuming you are refering to the synchro ?

yes I doubt its the synchro thats causing your issues
