it feels long but its mainly the boot that is fucked and leaks heaps of oil. i cannot get a booot for it at all, no listing in genuine parts wtf? so its easy to get this with a boot etc

Hey man,

Remebered one that was in a group sale through Toymods about 2 years ago. Egg'ed my mate on to get one for his W55 box and it actually felt really nice and tight. Was commented to be maybe a little to short though (might of been personally though).

Anyways, quick search found this thread . . .

http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/showthread.php?t=37628&highlight=short+shifter

And lead to this page

http://www.torrie.co.nz/forsale.htm

Not to sure if this helps, but thought I'd through it out there

Cheers Ross

i own a w box so wondering... why would one want a short shifter, may seem like a dumb question but as far as i can tell its just to make it feel more sporty (i.e. you're lazy and can't slam gears)

Just found this,

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Celica-Supra-W55-W57-W58-W59-R154-Short-Shift-NEW-/260635269903?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3caf129b0f

I want one for the boot and quicker changes, i feel they are too long and loose revs when doing a skid

Yeah thats the one, couldn't find it when searching Ebay for you haha

And yes that what I found with my mates one. So did my rally mate who took it out in the back streets. He did mention he would prefer a tall shifter knob though
