brake problem!

i noticed when i put my foot down hard on the brake pedal the motor starts to idle up and down similar to a vacuum leak. Does any have a clue what this could be?

more info on the car would do wonders.
if its auto and the trans fluid is low this can cause that problem.
type of car? motor?

Sounds like the booster is leaking vacuum
