I've been thinking of doing this and wondering if anyone does this currently. It seems simple in my mind but I may explain it shit.
Does anyone currently run a rear spacer on thier 86, with a conversion from 4 x 114.3 to 5 x 114.3 so you are able to run a fugly interceptor stock rim from say a commonwhore fal#### etc.
I only suggest this as most are 15 inch and it would be alot more convenient option to attain wheels and just chuck suited tyres on? Now dont call me a cheap c**t as I would never run it on the street, but I can't really see the point of having several skid rims that just sit in your garage 80% of the time when you have your daily rims on. I thought it would be economically better than saving up for pairs of jap rims and hours of scouring the net, while you could pick them up for next to nothing.....and if you damage them, chuck them out. I realise running the risks of spacers, but trying to toss up taking 2 pairs of jap rims or 6 pairs of interceptors to a track day....style or more fun?
Apart from getting stregthened studs and the spacers, would there be any other costs associated.
Now I couldnt care less if someone tried to grill me about style and its not JDM, but at the end of the day I would prefer doing something like this until I am comfortable enough slide on my own rims.
Thats my 2c
Entertain me with your thoughts
