master cylinder might be stuffed, not sure whether its the case on this car but some master cylinders have three circuits, one for the back and one for each side at the front.
a pic of the MC might help. has it been loosing fluid?? Also if you fluid level has gotten low enough there might be air in the circuit.
AND check your rubber brake lines for leaks, or heaps of perishing
also its a nissan so you really should just get used to it breaking down and trying to take you with it!! Like get a fire extinguisher cos your going to need it......though you may end up wanting to burn it LOL

Take the calipers off the slides and lube with grease, and take the brake pads out. Now push the brake piston all the way back, on both brakes. Use a G-clamp or huge multigrips. (You will probably have trouble doing one of these things by now, which will indicate your problem). Put it all back together and bleed the brakes.
If you take the piston out of the caliper, only lube it with rubber grease, not petrolium grease.

may easily be over looked but assuming the car has coilovers or the like make sure the hight settings are the same L/R. while it didnt so much pull it would lock one side easy in my ke70 when the hight was out, was only about 10mm but made a huge difference. i too thought one calliper might have seized but once it was level again it was fine. 10mm is hard to tell by eye unless your really looking for it.
if it is a calliper problem simply swapping to some 4pot is a nice fix!!
