a few questions about a na 4agze
what sort of power do they make ?
better off with a 4age ?
is it pointless ?
blake.

very pointless, buy a 4age.

They run low compression, so will make poor power NA.

if you could get one for the same price why not? chuck a thin head gasket in it to bump compression and cams.......then rev?

pay extra money for a thin headgasket to bump up the compresstion to a standard 4age?

becasue the ge would make more power for the same mods
and this is tech question...lol

so you chuck in a thin head gasket to get it up to the same comp ratio as a NA 4age. you put that same head gasket in a NA 4age, you'll get like 11:1 compression......more power.
Also what would you be running this NA GZE with? Not the standard ecu, not the Standard NA ecu. So now your putting an aftermarket ecu in to run a motor that would have made more power if you left the bloody thing along and ran it standard.
Honestly i really can't think of a bigger waste of time
edit: Im assuming you want to run an NA GZE cos you are on your provisional license and can't run forced induction? I would check your local laws cos Im think you might not be allowed an engine swap at all

the only pro that i can of is the stronger rods/bearings. the rest of the benefits seem to be lost?

i thought gze rods were the same as smallport 7 rib 4age rods

what good are stronger rods if you have no compression or tune to use them?
and the bearings arent stronger, the bearings are exactly the same......the are just slightly bigger....by 2mm....
to the OP, yes its pointless. and it will probably be slower than a 4ac.

which was my point. stronger rods is the only pro. the rest defeat the purpose.

which is my point, your only pro is debatable as i think the rods are the same LOL

That would have to be one of the more useful pics i've seen on this forum, i reckon out of the millions of pics on this site i would say i have seen less than 20 truly useful ones so good work!!

No, it's a bad idea with no advantages over a 4AGE. At all.
Can we please lock this thread now?

even taking the head gasket right out will not raise the compression enough, the ideas a total fail. Thread moved to tech and locked
