Hi all just wondering if a t40 manual bellhousing will fit a t50? Or will a t50 auto bellhousing fit a t50 manual? Sorry if it sounds silly I'm all new to this. Thanks and much appreciated. Matt

Yes and No

There are two types of "T" series Manual Gearboxs, one has small input shaft and bearing, found in KE35's, TE71's(t18) and early T powered Celica's and there is a Late model one with a bigger input shaft and bearing, found in 4A powered Corolla's and Carina's.

I Never seen a T auto box?

Oh ok thanks. Well it's a 22 spline gearbox I just bought without bellhousing. I have a auto gearbox off ae71 4a. And a manual t40 bellhousing sitting there so just wondering if either would fit on my 4age?

Yes a rare few had the T50 (its like finding rocking horse shit) Cable clutch as well
I own one and have only seen a two others for sale in the last 15 years.

Sorry guys just found out off old owner of gearbox that it's out of an old celica. I need to bolt up to 4age 20v. I think an easier question would be, what bellhousing should I be looking for?

sprinter bellhousing, either ADM or JDM assuming the splines are the same as an ADM one, (not sure how many they have off the top of my head)

I've counted this one like 5 times and I'm sure it has 21? I thought they were either 20 or 22 spline?
