Hey Guys

First drift Outing in my mx73 I was suffering from axel tramp when skidding from the line, not an issue while sliding

I turned the dampening down on my rear shocks and seemed to make a bit of a difference but still there.

What needs to be modified to get rid of this?

Rear suspension is 8kg springs and TRD Blues, on 3-4
Was running 14 inch wheels with 185/195 60s.

Any help of ideas appreciated.

may help to change to a nolathane/super pro variety. This will make everything 'tighter' and will remove play/stretching that you will get the rubber. which should result in less tramp :)

yea i am aware of this.

I am thinking more along the lines of suspension geometry. like in the Live axel cars you change the angle of the diff or use anti-tramp bars, is their an equivalent for IRS?

Apparently you can get 2 sets of s13 cradle spacers and use them on toyotas. I think grant from otomoto was telling me about it? Maybe try toymods?

there's to many different things, i'd have to drive the car and decide then, you might get 20 keyboard warriors telling yo 10 different things to do but it might cost you a lot in the process, try some stiffer subframe bushes for now i'd say

My first guess would be bushed. I was running like same setup and I never had any issues, same with a few other people with more power.

live axle cars dont get axle tramp because theyre live axle, like irs, shit bushings will do it. you turned the shox down and that allowed the springs to take up more slack than the bushings.

bushes it is one day. they are expensive so got to save, but if others have not had an issue i know where to start then.
