someone told me that the jdm t50 bellhousing move's the slave cylinder away from the extractors better than the adm bellhousing?
is this true? does any oone have any pictures to show the clearance differance between the two?

it moves it as far away from the exhaust as physically possible, pretty much

moves it to the other side, I really don't see what the big deal is myself just run a custom clutch line and you never have to deal with it

I don't doubt you're very well endowed.

But yes, it's an expensive way of putting your clutch slave on the opposite side to your exhaust. Means getting the JDM bellhousing, clutch hard line (RA60) and clutch slave cylinder (T18). Or sticking with what you have and getting the swivel gizmo I think Sam has done to keep the line away as far as practical.

seriously any shop that makes braided hose line can make a hose of whatever length you want, with a banjo fitting at one end and screw thread to suit the hard line. Enzed, ABS, millions of other places. Its not exactly rocket science!

Just depends on how hot your exhaust is. With the race car quite lean at WOT for best power i was cooking the seal inside the slave cylinder, and that was with heat shielding and heatwrap

Here is what the custom line looks like:

and something simular after about 5 years worth of use:

Chris: thats really odd, do your pipes go really close to your slave? maybe you should go for a slaveless clutch system

About as close as yours do there Sam, cooked them well good.

I picked up a JDM bellhousing cheap, but if i hadnt i was going to use a Howe slave.

actually that is a point! Every time im under my car i have a look at the seal on mine, which is 30 years old, and it doesn't show any signs of getting too hot. But i was a bit worried about it when i first put the motor in.
