I'm actually planning on going stiffer than 8/6. Exactly what, not sure yet. It's autocross only though, so I don't care how it is on the streets.

Here are some Koni choices for you:

Front - Recommended by KONI:
8610 1437RACE Works better with higher spring rates than MR-2 piece

Rear Recommended by KONI:

95+ Mustang (rear)
Koni 8041-1186S -sport similar valving & externally adjustable as the 82-92 koni
camaro rear sport shocks are not externally adjustable.

OR (even better)
93+ Camaro (rear)
Koni 8242-1006SP1 dual adjustment (compression & rebound)

NOT recommended by KONI:
93+ Camaro (rear)
Koni 8241-1140S -sport Koni states Compression Dampening would be too firm.

The front recommendation is the single adjust front race strut, but there is also a double adjust p# 8611-1259 Race with the same exact dimensions.

Good luck!

Credit actually goes to assassin10000 for those part numbers.

im using ae92 koni yellow adjustables in my 86 struts. They seem to work really well, but the only thing im concerned about is the short travel! If your going to run the car slammed then i reckon they would be the way to go, but if going to run 15's and decent ride height, you may be better using the st185 shocks

It is normal practice to order your front shocks to suit American and Japanese AE92. (Some Australian built AE92 do not have a seperate cartridge). The AE92 shock body is aboout 60mm shorter than a AE86 shock body. You cut and shut your AE86 strut tube 40mm shorter, then use a 20mm spacer in the bottom of it. This works out as perfect dimensions for most people.

If you order shocks to suit AE86, they will be too long for most people unless you want stock ride height. And if you lower it with these shock, the springs will not always be captive.
