Car - 86
motor - 4age
use -daily
problem -want to set my timing to workshop spec
occurs/started when -chaging the dizzy oring
personal situation - just asking so i can do this
also can some one tell why i think it may be 10deg b4 tdc for the timing

Make sure you short out the Diagnostic terminal to set base timing at 10deg btdc
once you remove that you can re check it at running temp it should be around the 16 deg mark
** also when reinserting the Dizzy make sure the motor is at TDC by checking the intake cam for the "0" mark

Yep its 10 degrees BTDC with the T and E1 check connector shorted.
Should be 3 notches in the pulley. In clockwise order, first one is TDC, second is 10 degrees and 3rd is 15.

dont make the same noob mistakes I did when timing, if your gonna adjust the dizzy, make sure you always re-reference(turn the crank so) the cam wheel marks back to the top each time you make adjustments at the dizzy, then and start the car.

once this is shorted out ... do i leave it like that
just while you're setting the timing. Pull it out once you're done
