I was under the impression the racks were even the same on KE70's, only rack being different accross all the models was AE86 power steering. But I could be wrong.

^^ Nope. It's been discussed a bit before, KE70 rack has slightly shorter (10mm) throw than AE86. Externally identical though, so they are interchangeable, just a slight difference in lock.
