master cylinder options.

putting a plenum on my car and have stuff all room.

currently running a pajero master. have ran an r32 master before.
anyone have any ideas on a smaller resovior. i think r33 is pretty small.

other option is to go external resovior. any thoughts would be good.
prefer not to go external as i already have one for the clutch. unless i run one big one for brakes and clutch?

I never considered it before till you mentioned it but a combined resivour makes a lot of sense, just have a T piece near the end to feed them both

I don't think it would be Legal at all..

I would say remote resivours will be the way to go.. Be the easiest solution I recon.

How far into your socks are your trumpets..In the pic it looks like they are very short.?? I found on my car that longer ones were much better.. I would have kept trying longer ones but I ran out of room.
I even went to the point where I had to cut sections out of the bonnets for clearence

I can't see any legality issues, afterall don't some cars have the stock?

The engineer may have an issue with a shared resivour though as he might argue that if your clutch dies it can drain your brakes fluid as well.

The cars (OK, singular... car) I've seen with single reservoir have it set up so the brake connection is lower than the clutch connection. So if you run out of fluid you'll lose clutch before brakes. Smart, but not sure if not having it would be illegal.

thats what i was thinking.
i know external resoviors are legal. (some mazdas run them)
i was more so thinking that if clutch line/master leaks you will have no brakes.

might just get an r33 master and make the plenum fit around it.

1984 Toyota Lite-Ace has an external reservoir which feeds fluid to both clutch and brake master cylinders.

KE30 have remote reservoir I think, try and see if you can adapt it to your master, could be similar

Ive got the hiace 2 for 1 bottle and it fits in front of the bonnet hinge just near the booster on the outer side. I'm running two lines, both to brakes front and rear from the 2 outlets the bottle has, and the rear circuit has a t piece that feeds clutch fluid to the clutch master. The plug just plugs together for the brake level warning light and replaces the ae86 one neatly.
