Hey guys I have a pair of 14*8.5 inch rags mesh wheels, I wanted to go for a bit of a stretch look and the tyre shoo in question suggested a 195 size tyre.

After 2 days and a lot of work apparently they had already burst one tyre and destroy the bead trying to get one on, the question is are they retarded or is that just to smaller. Size tyre for the wheels ?

a 195 shouldn't be that hard poppin on, might take some persuasion but they do sound a little slow

Go somewhere that has the right tools for the job, ie. Beadblaster.

you should easy be able to fit 185's on those rims, let alone 195.

They tried man with the beads blasted apparently ! They popped the bead on the 185's they tried!

Can anyone suggest a tyre shop in melbourne that could do this ?

No i didn't pay for it but really they might be wide but i did not think this would be hard! They said the outer of the rim might be 14.5 inches wide ? That why they were having trouble but i think they're just shit

i don't get how they could break the bead trying to pop it on??? unless the wheels you have are 3 peice and someone has used the outters from two sets to make a rim, so you don't have the stepped area you need to fit the tyre, in this case you have to pull the rim apart and put it togeather around the rim, then pump it up
pics needed of rims to confirm

K will uploads pics asap i think that might be the case they said something about doing that, pulling it apart but then they're like "we've spend enough time on these wheels" customer service fail !

ive damaged beads before fitting tyres but never ever actully seating the rims.

have not ever wittnessed a tyre expolde that was not on a car but that would need a serious amount of pressure.

as others said there must be something else seriously wrong or they are mega retarded. a bead blaster or elefant does not have enough air to burst a tyre.

The tyre didn't burst just the side wall split ! And the bead ripped

it sounds to me like the guys who were fitting the tires are 100% retarded...the only way i can see it happening is not lubing up the bead when you run it on the foot...

like wat munchen said, the dick heads probly didnt lube it up enuff, i always lube the wheel too with tight fits, so it beads up easier. If u havnt got em fitted yet pm me, i cud do it tomorow. Also if anyones interested i can get 185/55/14 and 195/55/14 at a reasonable price

Do to another place, they must be stoopid. My tyre place fitted 185/55 RE-01s to my 8.5J Watanabes without a bead blaster easily.

Also if anyones interested i can get 185/55/14 at a reasonable price

Brand? Price?

Mate, 195 should go on like a peice of piss.

Bring it to my house, I will do it for you free of charge. I have a tyre machine and a bead blaster (not that we should need it for a 195 on that rim). Im in the East, PM me if you still need it done.
