I was wondering could you use ae86 LCA’s with a S13 frontend setup instead of S13 LCa's?

the ball joints are all wrong arnt they?

if you want a shorter lca than the s13 stuff.... which isnt a huge track increase anyway, try r31 arms, they bring the track increrase down to a manageable 20mm over 35mm i think

Don't do it.

Toymods have info on balljoints etc.

I think it's fine?

This is a question for a mate who has S13 front end and with the wheels he has he has too much track for what he wants.

Should he just get R31 lcas to shorten or go back to ke70/ae86 gear?

R31 arms are about the same length as xt130 arms.

and are bolt in replacements for s13 arms

the R31 blokes use s13 arms to gain more track, the same way we all use xt130 arms.

i have PERSONALLY done (well seen/helped) my mate do it in his 86 with s13 gear, and it works fine.

........

oh i just re read your post above me.

i dont think you want to be shortening LCA's....that may throw everything out of wack. that will create positive camber, tlel your mate to get different wheels or "massage" his guards

He spent a mint on his wheels i dont think he will be selling them haahhaha

I think he is thinking of going to Ae86 gear/coilovers.

using R31 LCA's instead of the S13 ones when using on a ae86 should decrease camber by 1.5 degrees as this is how much camber it adds if you use a s13 LCA on a r31.
