1: power steering idle up, plug it, I went a bit over the top with mine:

2: bin it
3-1: normally to the airbox but many people run one of those mini air filters on them, you know the ones meant for cam covers. WHat ecu are you running.
3-2: hard to make out but that looks like the line that goes to your charcol canister, I could be wrong here
4-1: brake booster- using the signal off just one throttle is ok though.
4-2: on a 20v with its side feed injectors the fuel rail is an integral part of the intake manifold, that you see is the return. The inlet is on the inside.
I should write my own technical article about this

in pic #2 you can buy them from toyota. from memory that arent that much. get the 2 o-rings that come with it too. you just need an 86 4age one.

he wouldn't need it though, he just needs to change the O-ring on the RS Chita outlet

nope, wrong...
toyota no longer have supplies of the part...
offtopic to a point but i also found with my ae111 7a build the stock ae86 one is too short and also the angle is completely wrong...the outlet needs to be spaced out about 10mm or there abouts...tecarts make this "kit" to allow it...but had similar bits machined up locally to keep it looking neat..

its amazing how quick stuff can be taken off the stock list. i bought less than a year ago. and the dealership i was at had it in stock.
why would he just have to change the o-ring sam? he needs a pipe to fit the orings too. come to think of it the rs chit a kit has the orings already.

it wouldnt surprise me if the dealership said that they cant get it cause its too hard to look for or some shit. get the wrong parts guy and they can be like that.
i have been told before cant get thermostat housings. prob the same thing happened. maybe no stock available when tried to get the part.

thanks for the info.
yeah i have the o rings from the RS Chita kit.
that piece for the water pump and top outlet is that straight on the 4age's?? you can see in the photo the one i have for the 7age is offset or camshaft style
i'm also runing a Adaptronic ECU

As in my previous post i found the same issue and as a result did the same as tecarts did by spacing the outlet out and running a longer pipe...
Quite interested to hear about your motor...as my ae111 7a is just about complete...

delazy - he is doing a 4age not a 7a.
jet81j - yeah a 4a one is perfect for what you need. it is a straight pipe with the cut outs for the o-ring and it is shorter. its a bit of a tight fit so you will have to take off the top outlet and back of the water pump so you can slide it in, while still getting the top outlet onto the studs. i also used the rs chita kit and if i remember correctly, i got rid of the studs and used bolts instead. made it so much easier to fit.

yeah only doing the 4age. i'll keep the 7a bottom end for later. i'm thinking 7age 20v would be a very good na engine if built right, my 7age lacked topend and the 20v head would give you that
yeah i got rid of the bottom stud, it was too short for the top piece anyway. i'll just make a straight piece then at work just a bit tricky to measure the length

theres a butt were it bottoms out in the water pump and i think in the rs chit one too. measure their depth then measure the gap between outlet and pump. presto

nah, im already sorted...machined one up...just curious as to whether or not they are discontinued or not...as my discontinued answers were from quite reliable sources...not the local lazy parts bloke at the local dealership
i tried a good 12 months back when i bought all my oem bits for the motor...

12 months back was about when i got mine off the shelf from toyota dealer...
that image in you second last post, i take it your talking about the hose that you got going to the block with out a wiring plug in it? if so id recommend keeping it connected to the outlet of the throttle plate and just putting a filter on the other end. you dont need to wire it up, but without it it makes it hard to idle properly
