doesn't it rattle loud enough for you? they use an airflow meter so just whack a turbo on and go.

no i wouldn't reccomend it.

do it.......

manifold, turbo, fuel only ecu, small front mount (evo 5ish) and 10psi

160rwkw no problems.....the torque tho......OMG. A kenworth would be jealous!!!!!

Some 1985-1988 Toyota Hiluxs and 1987 Toyota 4Runner (US spec?) came with a factory 22rte punching out 101kw and 234nm.

Random fact.

The Americans love turboing 22Rs. Can be done. Can get good power, and massive torque, but don't expect it to be hugely good bang for buck unless you can fabricate everything yourself and have lots of bits lying around (including a 22RE in your car currently).

been done many times and definitely a great thing.

Driver marks (madaz) and it makes around 170rwkw and it is seriously good!

J pipe, basic basic, unopened

Hows your timing chain.......replace it first perhaps. I have been toying with this idea.......did some research added up the costs, for me it would be better to go with a replacement half cut, so SR20DET it is.

i could get all the fab work done easy. got a turbo sitting here. can get hands on an intercooler very easy. wont be pushing for to much power but hopefully around the 130 - 150 mark. wont need fuel pressure reg or anything like that to help the flow of petrol?

Parts you will need

turbo
manifold
fuel reg
fuel pump
optional 12psi hob switch and and 5th injector for hectic boost
dump pipe
exhuast to match
oil feed and drain
water feed and drain
intercooler and plumbing
silicon for plumbing
induction pipe and filter
blow off valve
boost controller
sundries (clamps, gaskets and that sort of shit)
cost $2000

need or spend anymore than that you're doing it wrong, best budget setup you can get.

When modifying a car, and in particular, when turbocharging, the most important thing to remember is smart supporting mods. So naturally when you plan on increasing the intake charge, it is a very good idea to increase fuel flow, pressure and supply to help deal with the said extra charge. That said engine management should be used, but if you want to be cheap about it, you can still make it work.

thats defiantly the way to go, at least you know it will be strong and reliable, as long as you don't got feeding it too much boost i suppose

Lol, dude spent over 20K on a fully built motor and turbo setup and it only made 150rwkw at 20psi boost.
