Trying to work out what size tyres to run on 18x9.5 wheels. want to have them sitting pretty square on the rims, or slightly stretched, but not full KE bandit spec.

Pics and or suggestions would be great.

235/40?
225/40 is nice but thats gunna be pulled.
see pics below, 225/40 on 18x9.5, also depends obviously on what brand tyres, feds are always naturally fatter!

so id say 235/40 if you want it flat/slight pull, but once again depends on the brand

yeah 235's look like the way to go, or possibly a 245 even to actually fill the guards up some more as they're pretty big.

Car is a ST185 GT4

what offset do they take? like a +48 or something?

Andy San

Not the gt4's. It's got 17x7 +42 on it now and there is 80mm more in the back guards. New wheels will be 9.5 +8 on the rear

What wheels?

Go 235/40 or 265/35 for straight sidewall

Oh not in 5x100.

There are different styles of origin wheels most are ugly and yes, i know they are china.

yeah find me some decent offset (+20 or so) 5x100 wheels (pretty much impossible even in Jappy ones) and I'll have a look

arent WRX wheels 5x100?

Andy San

yeah but they all run offsets in the +40's or high 30's on some wheels. The celicas really need around a +15 for the rear guards cos they are so big.

i would be looking to the USA man, they seem to run fairly agressive offsets on their WRX/STi's.
otherwise jap wheels that come in varying offsets will be your only choice...
